DeeAnne McClenahan,

Enrolled Agent

With a BS in Business Management from the University of Maryland, DeeAnne has spent her entire career in the world of finance, much of it in real estate. With roles that included Senior Controller, Division Manager, Finance and Accounting Systems Director, she managed systems and processes for large and small businesses before she moved to tax consulting full time. She is certified by the IRS as an Enrolled Agent, giving her the ability to not only prepare and file your tax returns, but to communicate with the IRS on your behalf whenever necessary.

DeeAnne spent several tax seasons working as a tax expert for a national software provider, as the highest level problem solver for clients with questions and issues regarding tax law. She has clients who are individuals, partnerships, LLCs, S Corps, and C Corps. Working virtually with clients from across the street and across the country, she never compromises the security of her clients, using a secure physical drop box and digital portal for clients to upload and review tax documents.

DeeAnne spends part of the year living and working from her tiny home in northern Arizona, and most of it in south Tempe with her husband and two rescue dogs. She was on the Tempe Union High School Governing Board for eight years, chairs the finance team at her congregation and participates in numerous volunteer positions in the community.

Michael Eddy, MBA

Tax Preparer

Michael grew up in a small town in Alaska, where tight-knit communities taught him the value of trust and relationships. After high school, he joined the Navy and served as a nuclear mechanic aboard the USS Kentucky submarine. His time in the military instilled in him a sharp attention to detail, discipline and a commitment to service — skills that now shape his approach to financial work.

Following his military service, Michael settled in Phoenix, Arizona, where he earned both a bachelor’s degree in Finance and an MBA. It was also in Phoenix that he met his wife, Katie. Today, they’re raising their son, daughter, and two energetic dogs in the Ahwatukee neighborhood, where community still plays a central role in their lives.

Michael brings that same sense of community and service into his tax practice. He believes that preparing taxes isn’t just about crunching numbers — it’s about helping real people make smart financial decisions, reduce stress and keep more of what they earn. Whether you’re an individual, family or small business owner, Michael takes time to understand your unique situation and goals so he can provide tax strategies tailored to you.

Michael has built a reputation for being dependable, approachable and thorough. His motto? “Families, not files.” He holds a strong commitment to treating every client like family, not just another name on a return.

When you work with Michael, you get more than just tax prep — you gain a trusted advisor who’s dedicated to helping you navigate the numbers with clarity, confidence and care.

Let Us Help:

Dear Friend,

I hope you’ll forgive me for being blunt.

I am DeeAnne McClenahan. I’m an EA and realize that you may not be used to seeing a tax advisor talk like this. It’s not my intention to offend (I’m actually being very careful with my words – I am a tax professional, after all).

But I think you’ll agree that the times we’re currently facing require a little straight talk.

Here’s a certain truth: The State and Federal Government would love to have more of your hard-earned money in their accounts. Sure, even though it’s painful, none of us begrudge paying our legal and fair share of taxes. But the problem is that regular taxpayers, like you, are missing out on legal and safe deductions to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars in unclaimed refunds every year!

As a tax advisor, it truly breaks my heart knowing that just a few thousand or even a few hundred bucks for us “regular guys” out of that vast pool of overcharging could make a world of difference – and they are just sitting there, unclaimed! And with the economy we’re facing now…it’s essential that the “right” professional handles your taxes and other financial matters.

You see, all tax advisors are not the same. From the “discount” chains (notice the quotes) to classic accounting firms, most fly through tax season in a disorganized mess – bleary-eyed and hopped-up on caffeine. It’s no wonder that they treat you like a number and lapse into excuses and tax-talk. (I told you that I would be blunt.)

Click the button on this page to take your first step. And of course, feel free to poke around our site and discover why I’ve been called “The Most Trusted Tax Advisor in the Tempe, Arizona area.”

PS — When you fill out the form, we’ll also add you to our weekly email series on “Real World” Strategy (for individuals). Our readers enthusiastically forward these to their friends and peers all the time, and they’re not your standard “tax tips.”

PPS–Already ready to come in?

I don’t blame you…many folks are fed up with the other options out there. Our schedule is very full…but if you call us at (602) 214-4608 or Email Us, we’ll give you two options for coming in right away! We will NOT make dealing with a tax advisor as painful as it’s been in the past!

Talk again soon,

DeeAnne McClenahan, EA
